Award Description

The SAC Publication Award recognizes outstanding efforts by Statistical Analysis Centers to apply empirical analysis to criminal justice policy-making in the states. Established in 1986, it was renamed in memory of Phillip Hoke, the nation's first SAC director. He was one of the founders of JRSA and served as its second president. The award is given in two categories related to the type of publication: Research/Policy Analysis and Statistical/Management Reports. Two awards are given within each category-one for small SACs, those with fewer than five full-time staff, and one for large SACs.

A list of past award recipients is available.
